Flowering Miconia stenostachya observed on the summit of El Tucuche, Trinidad, WI.

Numerous Miconia stenostachya plants were observed during a hike to the top. Before this, members of the Botany Group puzzled while identifying a close-up photograph of the same species; they were able to narrow down to the Melastomataceae family due to the checkered veins in leaves.
