While traversing through the lower montane/disturbed forest along the St. Ann’s to Santa Cruz trail in 2012, I noticed patch of bamboo (Bambusa vulgaris) with a culm in flower. The were no insects present as the inflorescences had already blossom, probably days or weeks before.
